New in the Vuceta Diamonds, I have an amazing vintage amethyst ring from France. This ring features a very large (approx 8 carat) Rose de France amethyst. Rose de France is a rare and desirable sub-type of amethyst. Unlike the traditional dark purple, Rose de France is a light pinkish purple which glows brilliantly in natural light.
The stone is set in 18k Rosé gold, which is a classic vintage blend of both yellow and rose gold - it is a hue of gold that was popular 50+ years ago, but rarely seen today. There are multiple hallmarks including the owl hallmark which serves as both an import hallmark and a used jewelry hallmark; in this case, it is the later.
The weight is 4.42 grams and currently the ring size is 8.75 U.S. It can be resized upon request.
