Vintage Portuguese Military 'Order of Christ' 19k Gold Cross Pendant

$1,050.00

This gorgeous pendant used to be a part of a military honorary metal, known as the Order of Christ. Originally, it was meant to be worn on the neck with a red ribbon. The crown element is made of silver, but the cross is made of 19k gold. The red and white elements in the cross are beautifully enameled.

The cross was converted from its original silver connecting piece to a gold pendant. On the top ‘connecting’ piece, there are two hallmarks, one is the makers mark, and the other is a Portuguese gold hallmark that indicates that this piece was made in Lisbon, between 1887-1938. The cross measures 2 by 1 1/8 inches and weighs 6.1 grams.

The cross comes with its original old box and red ribbin with the silver crown element.
